Russia – EU Trade in 2020

  • During 2020, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union decreased by 25% year-on-year down to 174.2 bn euro.

    According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was down 9.5% during 2020 making 79 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union declined by 34.3% down to 95.2 bn euro.

    Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.

    Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia also ranks the fifth after China, the USA, the UK and Switzerland.
