During January-November 2020 Russia’s export of sawn goods made 17.2 mn tons, down 5.8% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was down 4.1% making $4 bn.
Logs export decreased by 3% year-on-year down to 13.6 mn cbm worth $895.3 mn, down 9.4% year-on-year.
Plywood export increased by 4.2% year-on-year to make 2.6 mn cbm worth $1 bn, down 0.9% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in January-November 2020 amounted to 2.1 mn tons, up 13.1% year-on-year worth $902.8 mn, down 3.7% year-on-year.
Newsprint export made 992.5 thousand tons, down 12.7% year-on-year, worth $336.6 mn, down 34.4% year-on-year.
In November, sawn goods export made 1.3 mn tons, down 11.1% year-on-year and down 11.3% month-on-month worth $324.1 mn, down 2.1% year-on-year and down 5.7% month-on-month.
Logs export made more than 1.4 mn cbm, up 6.2% year-on-year and up 4% month-on-month. In terms of value, it decreased by 3.6% year-on-year and grew by 0.9% month-on-month to make $84.9 mn.
Plywood export in November made 228.3 thousand cbm, up 4.3% year-on-year and down 25.3% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 9.5% year-on-year and declined by 9.4% month-on-month making to $93.5 mn.
Wood pulp export made 186.9 thousand tons, up 25.4% year-on-year and down 12.1% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export increased by 44.3% year-on-year and declined by 10.5% month-on-month to make $82.8 mn.
Newsprint export dropped by 42.3% year-on-year and grew by 1.9% month-on-month to make 66 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was down 47.4% year-on-year and up 5% month-to-month to $22.9 mn.
