According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, Russia’s car import in January-November 2020 was down 22.5% year-on-year to 214 thousand units. Truck import during the 11 months declined by 22.3% year-on-year down to 20.6 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import during January-November decreased by 34% year-on-year down to $4.7 bn. Truck import dropped by 41% down to $1 bn.
In November 2020, car import was up 12.5% year-on-year and down 9.4% month-on-month to make 28.8 thousand units. Truck import made 2.9 thousand units, down 3.3% year-on-year and up 3.6% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car import increased by 7.5% year-on-year and by 7.9% month-on-month to make $683.6 mn in November. Truck import was worth $123.6 mn, down 23.1% year-on-year and down 9.8% month-on-month.
Russia’s car export in January-November 2020 was down 42.8% year-on-year to 58.1 thousand units. Truck export declined by 16.5% making 10.6 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 41.1% year-on-year amounting to $870.7 mn. Truck export decreased by 15.3% to make $279.5 mn.
In November, car export declined by 6.9% year-on-year and grew by 9.8% month-on-month down to 6.7 thousand units. Truck export made 1.2 thousand units, down 14.3% year-on-year and up 20% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car export in November decreased by 11.9% year-on-year and grew by 11.2% month-on-month to make $99.1 mn. Truck export was worth $32.6 mn, down 18.7% year-on-year and up 31.9% month-on-month.
