Muchka Bay Coal Terminal Basin Operable

  • Rosmorport has put into operation the first stage of the basin of the coal terminal in Muchka Bay in the port of Vanino in the Russian Far East.

    The development is part of the Sea Ports of Russia federal project realized in the framework of the Comprehensive Plan for transport infrastructure modernization and expansion.

    The terminal investor is VaninoTransUgol, the facility is meant for exporting coal mined in Yakutia. Stage one of the project allows of handling up to 12 mn tons per annum.

    After completing Stage 2, the terminal capacity will reach 24 mn tons. At full design capacity the terminal will be one of the largest coal handling facilities in Russia.
