TOP-5 Russian Terminals Throughput in January-November 2020

    According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total cargo throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-November 2020 amounted to 750.7 mn tons (-2.1%). Five terminals handled 205 mn tons or 27.3% of this volume.

    CPC-R in Novorossiysk remains the leader in terms of cargo throughput. Its cargo traffic decreased by 5.8% down to 54.1 mn tons.

    Cargo traffic via Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port amounted to 49.6 mn tons, down 26.2% year-on-year.

    Primorsk Commercial Port handled 45.4 mn tons, down 19.4% year-on-year.

    Cargo throughput via Transneft Kozmino Port in Vostochny increased by 0.6% up to 30.5 mn tons.

    Vostochny Port handled 25.5 mn tons, up 8.7% year-on-year.

    It should be noted that the stevedores which demonstrated the highest growth did not get into the Top-5. Oteko Portservice in Taman saw its cargo traffic surge 6.3-fold, Arctic Consulting Service in Arkhangelsk was up 4.4-fold, Nord+ in Sovetskaya Gavan was up 3.8-fold.

    The largest decrease in cargo traffic was in Commodity Service in Murmansk (-95.4%), Nakhodka oil bunker (-87.5%), and Yuzhny Terminal in Sevastopol (-83.5%).
