50 Vessels to Be Built for Vostok Oil Project

  • 50 vessels of different types are to be built for Vostok Oil project developed in the Russian Arctic, according to Rosneft. This number includes 10 ice class 12,000 dwt tankers commissioned from Zvezda Shipyard.  

    The confirmed resource base of Vostok Oil is estimated to make 6 bn tons (44 bn barrels) of liquid hydrocarbons including more than 5 bn ribs if light low sulphur oil of better quality than Brent.

    The export potential of the project is estimated to make 25 mn tons of oil in 2024, 50 mn tons inf 2027 and up to 115 mn tons by 2030.

    Ronsneft Board at its recent meeting approved of selling 10% in Vostok Oil LLC to Trafigura PTE LTD.
