During January-September 2020 Russia’s export of sawn goods made 14.1 mn tons, down 4.1% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was down 3.5% making more than $3.3 bn.
Logs export decreased by 4.3% year-on-year down to 10.9 mn cbm worth $727 mn, down 10.9% year-on-year.
Plywood export increased by 1.7% year-on-year to make 2.1 mn cbm worth $847.9 mn, down 2.8% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export amounted to 1.7 mn tons, up 11.2% year-on-year worth $731.5 mn, down 9.7% year-on-year.
Newsprint export in January-September 2020 made 860.4 thousand tons, down 7.6% year-on-year, worth $291.1 mn, down 32.9% year-on-year.
In September, sawn goods export made 1.6 mn tons, down 2.9% year-on-year and down 2.8% month-on-month worth $379.4 mn, up 1.9% year-on-year and down 2.4% month-on-month.
Logs export made more than 1.4 mn cbm, up 7% year-on-year and down 5.5% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 1.9% year-on-year and declined by 6.9% month-on-month to make $85.1 mn.
Plywood export in September, made 254.8 thousand cbm, up 15.1% year-on-year and up 20.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 17.5% year-on-year and by 19.8% month-on-month making to $102.2 mn.
Wood pulp export made 225.4 thousand tons, up 45.5% year-on-year and up 11.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export grew by 46.2% year-on-year and by 13.2% month-on-month to make $96.8 mn.
Newsprint export decreased by 9.9% year-on-year and by 18.9% month-on-month to make 85.6 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was down 26.2% year-on-year and down 17.6% month-on-month to $28.5 mn.
