На Сахалине построят многофункциональный грузовой порт

Mutifunctional Port Project for Sakhalin

  • A multifunctional port is planned for construction on the island of Sakhalin in the Russian Far East. According to the regional government, the project developed by Multifunctional Cargo Area Ltd has been submitted to the federal authorities for approval.

    The project suggest a concession scheme to be deployed, with the federal government subsidizing some 4 bn rubles (54.5 mn dollars) for infrastructure development.

    The construction is expected to start in 2022. The port will include coal, oil, gas and bunkering facilities. According to Sakhalin Oblast Governor Valery Limarenko, the new port is to be used to deliver LNG to the Kuril Isles.
