According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-August 2020 Russia exported 1.6 mn tons of unwrought aluminum, down 25.8% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export dropped by 29.2% year-on-year down to $2.5 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export increased by 1% year-on-year making 445.6 thousand tons worth $2.4 bn, down 7.9% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in January-August 2020 declined by 12.6% year-on-year amounting to 74.4 thousand tons worth $928.4 mn, down 12.9% year-on-year.
In August, unwrought aluminum export made 199.5 thousand tons, down 31.6 year-on-year and down 32.1% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export decreased by 33.5% year-on-year and by 32.2% month-on-month to make $311.4 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was down 4.9% year-on-year and up 9.6% month-on-month to 63.8 thousand tons worth $391.5 mn, up 1.6% year-on-year and up 20.3% month-on-month.
Unwrought nickel export in August was up 6.3-fold year-on-year and down 45.4% month-on-month to 10.1 thousand tons. In terms of value, it increased by 5.5% year-on-year, but declined by 41.9% month-on-month to make $133.6 mn.
