According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-July 2020 Russia exported 1.4 mn tons of unwrought aluminum, down 26.5% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export dropped by 30.3% year-on-year down to $2.2 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export increased by 2.1% year-on-year making 381.7 thousand tons worth $2.1 bn, down 9.5% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in January-July 2020 decreased by 23.1% year-on-year amounting to 64.2 thousand tons worth $794.7 mn, down 23.3% year-on-year.
In July, unwrought aluminum export made 294.3 thousand tons, down 3.6% year-on-year, but up 18.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export declined by 9.8% year-on-year and grew by 15.7% month-on-month to make $459.6 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was up 73.7% year-on-year and down 22.4% month-on-month to 58.2 thousand tons worth $325.5 mn, up 69.4% year-on-year and up 15.7% month-on-month.
Unwrought nickel export in July was up 52.9% year-on-year and up 54.2% month-on-month to 18.5 thousand tons. In terms of value, it grew by 41.3% year-on-year and by 62.6% month-on-month to make $230.1 mn.
