Block Train to Carry Containerized Aluminum to China

  • TransContainer has dispatched its first block train to carry aluminum alloys made by Rusal from Russia to Central China.

According to the company, the train routed via the Zabaikalsk border crossing departed the station of Bazaikha in Krasnoyarsk on August 24.

Should the first shipment of 94 TEU prove a success, the service may go on a regular basis.

The transit time is just 17 days instead to 45 days on a deepsea service.
