Modul has tested container rail service for transportation of wood pulp from Russia to China. A train carrying 45 40’ units with wood pulp left the station of Volzhsk for Chongqing via the Naushki/Zamyn-Uud border crossing in early July.
The transit time made 18 days. On July 27, the train came back to Moscow with imported Chinese goods.
The service can become regular. At present, negotiations on the second and third block trains are underway.
