According to the RF Federal Customs Service, Russia’s crude oil export in January-May 2020 was down 1.7% year-on-year to 104.4 mn tons. In terms of value, crude oil export decreased by 31.4% year-on-year making $33.7 bn.
Oil products export declined by 0.6% down to 60.1 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 23% to $22.2 bn.
Diesel fuel export made 22.9 mn tons in terms of tonnage (-3.1% year-on-year) and $9.9 bn in terms of value (-20.6%).
Petrol export in January-May 2020 increased by 50.5% year-on-year up to 3 mn tons worth $1.3 bn, up 17.8%.
In May, Russia exported 19.3 mn tons of crude, up 1.1% year-on-year and down 11.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, crude oil export dropped by 62.7% year-on-year and by 18.9% month-on-month to make $3.6 bn.
Oil products export in May increased by 10.9% year-on-year and by 10.7% month-on-month to make 12.1 mn tons worth $2.7 bn (down 52.3% year-on-year and down 15.7% month-on-month).
Diesel fuel export made 4.8 mn tons (up 15.5% year-on-year and up 17% month-on-month) worth $1.3 bn (down 47.9% year-on-year and down 9.7% month-on-month).
Car petrol export in May grew by 63.7% year-on-year and increased by 51.9% month-on-month making 707.4 thousand tons worth $190.7 mn, down 26.4% year-on-year and up 40.4% month-on-month.
Natural gas export in January-May 2020 amounted to 73 bn cbm, down 21.8% year-on-year. In terms of value, it also declined, by 51.9% down to $9.7 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export during January-May 2020 increased by 9.1% year-on-year up to 27.6 mn cbm, its value was down 16.3% to $3.4 bn.
In May, natural gas export made 11.9 bn cbm, down 24.2% year-on-year and down 1.7% month-on-month. Value-wise, it was worth $1.1 bn, down 61.1% year-on-year and down 14.9% month-on-month.
LNG export in May amounted to 7.4 mn cbm surging 3.4-fold year-on-year and 2.1-fold month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export was up 2.6-fold year-on-year and up 66.2% month-on-month making $965.7 mn.
