According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-May 2020 Russia exported 828.2 thousand tons of unwrought aluminum, down 41.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export dropped by 44.7% year-on-year down to $1.4 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export declined by 18.8% year-on-year making 248.5 thousand tons worth $1.3 bn, down 28.5% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in January-May 2020 decreased by 41.4% year-on-year amounting to 33.8 thousand tons worth $423.2 mn, down 40.2% year-on-year.
In May, unwrought aluminum export made 134.9 thousand tons, down 47.5 year-on-year and down 36.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export dropped by 49.6% year-on-year and declined by 35.3% month-on-month to make $217.5 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was up 12.8% year-on-year, but down 24.1% month-on-month to 41.3 thousand tons worth $202.8 mn, down 9.6% year-on-year and down 24.9% month-on-month.
Unwrought nickel export in May was down 49.4% year-on-year, but up 10.8% month-on-month to 4.1 thousand tons. In terms of value, it declined by 51% year-on-year and grew by 7.7% month-on-month to make $47.5 mn.
