According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-May 2020 Russia exported 5.2 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, down 0.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export declined by 16.8% down to $943.7 mn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 4.3 mn tons, down 1.5% year-on-year. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export decreased by 22.5% down to $1 bn.
Potash fertilizers export during January-May 2020 decreased by 3.9% down to 3 mn tons. In terms of value, it declined by 24.7% down to $604.2 mn.
In May, nitric fertilizers export grew by 56.2% year-on-year, and by 76.7% month-on-month making 1.4 mn tons worth $234.8 mn (up 39.1% year-on-year and up 66.6% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export made 839.3 thousand tons, up 10.9% year-on-year and up 27.3% month-on-month. In terms of value, it decreased by 11.1% year-on-year, but grew by 26.5% month-on-month to make $209.3 mn.
Potash fertilizers export in May increased by 18.9% year-on-year and by 6.5% month-on-month to make 956.5 thousand tons worth $183.1 mn, down 13.8% year-on-year, but up 6.1% month-on-month.
