Российские судоходные компании получат 320 млн рублей

Russian Government to Subsidize Shipping

  • Russian shipping companies will receive 320 mn rubles ($4.4 mn) as subsidies from the federal government, RF Premier Mikhail Mishustin said at the government session on July 7.

The subsidy is allocated as part of the package aimed to relieve the industries and segments that suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic the most.

The 320 mn subsidy is designated for river and sea cruise operators whose earnings have been affected by the shorter navigation season due to the anti-epidemic measures.

The subsidy is expected to help them pay part of their leasing costs.
