According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-April 2020 Russia exported 12.6 mn tons of ferrous metals, down 12.1% year-on-year. In terms of value, ferrous metals export declined by 22.1% down to $5.1 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was down 7% year-on-year to some 4.9 mn tons. In terms of value, it decreased by 17.3% down to $1.9 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in January-April 2020 declined by 11.8% year-on-year down to 2.1 mn tons worth $1 bn, down 24.6%.
Cast iron export during the 4 months of 2020 dropped by 37.2% year-on-year down to 910.2 thousand tons worth $280.4 mn, down 45.1%.
Ferroalloys export in January-April 2020 decreased by 10.1% year-on-year up to 256.2 thousand tons worth $334.2 mn (-26.9%).
According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, in April 2020 ferrous metals export was down 8.6% year-on-year and down 17.4% month-on-month to 3 mn tons. In terms of value, it declined by 26.3% year-on-year and by 19.3% month-on-month to make $1.2 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was down 5.7% year-on-year and down 12.2% month-on-month making 1.16 mn tons. In terms of value, it decreased by 25.6% year-on-year and by 20.6% month-on-month down to $416.2 mn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export was down 13.3% year-on-year and down 3.7% month-on-month making 537.1 thousand tons worth $251 mn (down 29.7% year-on-year and down 5.7% month-on-month).
Cast iron export in April 2020 made 343.2 thousand tons, up 56% year-on-year and up 24.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, it amounted to $106.2 mn, up 38.1% year-on-year and up 26.4% month-on-month.
Ferroalloy export was down 25.1% year-on-year and down 33.7% month-on-month to 55 thousand tons. In terms of value, it declined by 34.5% year-on-year and by 27% month-on-month to make $75.4 mn.
