According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, Russia’s car import in January-April 2020 was down 26.3% year-on-year to 66.1 thousand units. Truck import during the first 4 months of the year declined by 35.6% year-on-year down to 5.8 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import during January-April decreased by 34% year-on-year down to $1.6 bn. Truck import dropped by 52.4% down to $332.7 mn.
According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in April 2020, car import was down 50.8% year-on-year and surged by 46.3% month-on-month to make 13.8 thousand units. Truck import made 0.9 thousand units, down 70% year-on-year and down 59.1% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car import dropped by 64.2% year-on-year and by 57.8% month-on-month to make $273 mn in April. Truck import was worth $56.7 mn, down 72.7% year-on-year and down 40.9% month-on-month.
Russia’s car export in January-April 2020 was down 34.8% year-on-year to 21.7 thousand units. Truck export declined by 24.4% making 3.1 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 34.6% year-on-year amounting to more than $297 mn. Truck export decreased by 9.9% to make $92.6 mn.
In April, car export declined by 57.5% year-on-year and by 32.8% month-on-month down to 4.5 thousand units. Truck export made 900 units, down 40% year-on-year and same as in March this year.
In terms of value, car export in April dropped by 65.6% year-on-year and by 42.1% month-on-month to make $50.8 mn. Truck export was worth $22.8 mn, down 28.8% year-on-year and down 25.5% month-on-month.
