First Contrailer Shipment from Kaliningrad to St. Petersburg

  • A contrailer platform has been dispatched in the framework of the first test contrailer shipment from Kaliningrad to St. Petersburg.

On June 15, a semitrailer with Kaliningrad-made polymer products was loaded onto the platform and left Kaliningrad on a train going to St. Petersburg.

The transit time is two days, twice shorter than by road, with comparable transportation costs.  The logistics costs are even lower as the border crossing time is shorter by rail than by road, according to Kaliningrad Railway.
