The Volgo-Balt inland waterways administration has established an area for testing unmanned inland and ocean-going vessels and autonomous navigation.
The area includes a section in the east part Lake Ladoga and a section of the Neva River in St. Petersburg, which will be used as testing sites.
So far, it is the only officially registered autonomous navigation testing area in Russia.
