According to the RF Federal Customs Service, Russia’s crude oil export in January-March 2020 was down 4.4% year-on-year to 63.1 mn tons. In terms of value, crude oil export decreased by 12.3% year-on-year making circa $25.6 bn.
Oil products export declined by 2.7% down to 36.9 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 7% to $16.3 bn.
Diesel fuel export made 13.9 mn tons in terms of tonnage (-1.8% year-on-year) and $7.2 bn in terms of value (-7.5%).
Petrol export in January-March 2020 surged by 67.4% year-on-year up to more than 1.8 mn tons worth about $951.8 mn, up 65.2%.
In March, Russia exported 21.9 mn tons of crude, down 7.7% year-on-year and up 14.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, crude oil export declined by 32.5% year-on-year and by 9.8% month-on-month to make slightly over $7.3 bn.
Oil products export increased by 11.1% year-on-year and by 26.7% month-on-month to make 14.3 mn tons worth $5.9 bn (down 3.7% year-on-year and up 17.3% month-on-month).
Diesel fuel export made 5.6 mn tons (up 3.9% year-on-year and up 39% month-on-month) worth $2.7 bn (down 12.1% year-on-year and up 24.9% month-on-month).
Car petrol export in March surged 2.3-fold year-on-year and was up 2.5-fold month-on-month making 946.3 thousand tons worth $462.4 mn, up 2.2-fold year-on-year and up 2.3-fold month-on-month.
Natural gas export in January-March 2020 amounted to 46.6 bn cbm, down 24.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, it also declined, by 5.6% down to $6.8 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export during January-March 2020 increased by 42.7% year-on-year up to 16.7 mn cbm, its value was down 6.7% to more than $1.8 bn.
In March, natural gas export made 14.1 bn cbm, down 23.4% year-on-year and down 0.7% month-on-month. Value-wise, it was worth $1.8 bn, down 52.4% year-on-year and down 12.9% month-on-month.
LNG export in March amounted to 3 mn cbm growing by 15.4% year-on-year and declining by 42.3% month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export declined by 10.3% year-on-year and by 11.9% month-on-month making $457.7 mn.
