Clothes Import into Russia Slightly Up in 2019

    According to SeaNews Russian Foreign Trade Customs Statistics online service, in 2019 Russia imported $7.2 bn worth of clothes, up 2.1% year-on-year.

    Clothes were supplied to Russia from 141 countries in 2019, most of the imports designated for Moscow, Moscow Oblast and St. Petersburg.

    Clothes shipments from China decreased by 1.5% down to $2.6 bn. The main regions of destination were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow Oblast and Krasnodar Kray.

    Clothes import from Bangladesh was worth $882.5 mn, up 8.8% year-on-year. Almost all of its was designated for Moscow, Moscow Oblast and St. Petersburg.

    Imports from Italy decreased by 2.7% down to $545.5 mn. Most of the Italian manufactured clothes were delivered to Moscow and Moscow Oblast.
