Russia Imports More Tractors

    According to SeaNews Russian Foreign Trade Customs Statistics online service, in 2019, Russia imported 90.5 thousand tractors (+18.2% year-on-year) worth $1.3 bn (-20.1%).

    In 2019, tractors were shipped to Russia from 25 countries, the largest numbers originating from Belarus, the Netherlands and China. Most deliveries were made to Moscow and the Moscow region.

    Chinese produced tractors import decreased by 31.6% down to 45.8 thousand units worth $38.7 mn, up 9.6%. The vast majority of these were tractor, operated outside the cabin by a driver walking next to the machine. Most of the Chinese tractors were delivered to Moscow, the Perm region, the Moscow and Tula regions.

    27.6 thousand tractors (+28.4%) worth $281.3 mn (+4.1%) were imported from Belarus. Almost all of them were delivered to the Vologda and Moscow regions, as well as to Tatarstan and Stavropol Kray.

    Tractors import from the Netherlands increased by 24.3% up to 4.6 thousand units worth $317.9 mn, up 24.8%. For the most part they were designated for Moscow and the Moscow region.
