Russia Imports Fewer Combine Harvesters in 2019

  • According to SeaNews Russian Foreign Trade Customs Statistics online service, in 2019 the import of combine harvesters to Russia amounted to 580 units (-67.7% year-on-year) worth $61.5 mn (-30.3%).

    Last year, combine harvesters were shipped to Russia from 14 countries, the largest shipments being from Belarus, Germany, Belgium and the USA.

    The import of combine harvesters to Russia from Belarus decreased by 82.6% down to 228 units in physical terms and by 34.8% down to $10.7 mn in monetary terms. Most of the equipment was designated for Rostov, Volgograd, Saratov and Tambov regions.

    123 grain harvesters (-31.3%) worth $23.6 mn dollars (-37.2%) were imported from Germany, almost all of them were designated for Moscow Olbast.

    Combine harvesters import from Belgium decreased by 6.8% down to 69 units in physical terms and by 3.8% down to $12.6 mn while in money terms. Belgian combines were mainly shipped to Tatarstan.

    Imports from the United States made 50 combine harvesters (-35.9%) worth $9.1 mn (-32.6%). Almost all this equipment was shipped to Tatarstan.
