FESCO has added a new vessel, the dry cargo ship “FESCO Uliss”, to its fleet. The ship started on her first voyage on April 17 carrying equipment for wind farms to Kompanholmen in Sweden, a spokesperson for FESCO told SeaNews.
The “Uliss” is a multi-purpose dry cargo ship capable of transporting containers as well and with an ice class allowing to operate in the Arctic. The LOA is 138 m, the beam is 21 m, the deadweight is 12.7 thousand tons, the crew consists of 14 people.
The vessel is named after a bay on the southern shore of the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula in the Russian Far East.
Prior to this, at the end of 2019, FESCO added two container vessels, “FESCO Moneron” and “FESCO Magadan” to its fleet as part of the group’s fleet renewal programme.
