TransContainer and Ruscon, both parts of Delo Group, have launched a new service for mineral oils in flexitanks from Sarepta to Novorossiysk and from there on to Turkish ports.
The first 12 flexitanks owned by TransContainer were dispatched on April 9. In future, the partners intend to transport up to 80 flexitanks a month.
According to Boris Borisov, Managing Director of the Volga branch of TransContainer, says that flexitanks are a cheaper alternative to tank containers. He believes the new service will be popular with the company’s customers.
Ilya Dirkonos, Commercial Director of the Novorossiysk office of Ruscon, adds that the partners intend to expand the geographic scope of the flexitank service in future.
Flexitanks are container liners inserted into ordinary 20’ and 40’ ISO containers and filled with various viscosity fluids for transportation.
