Novotrans has loaded the first shipment of grain via the ferry terminal at Ust-Luga. The ship load made 5 thousand tons of flaxseeds. The cargo arrived at Ust-Luga in hopper cars from Kazakhstan by rail and is destined to Belgium.
Novotrans Group has invested over 100 mn rubles ($1.34 mn) into specialized equipment to handle grains at the ferry terminal. The current annual capacity of the facility is over 400 thousand tons. Novotrans intends to improve the handling technology and expand its customer portfolio to handle up to 1 mn tons a year.
