The first electronic customs in North-West Russia started operation in St. Petersburg as part of the North-West Customs Administration w.e.f. April 8. The customs code of the new unit is 10228000.
The North-West Electronic Customs will be responsible for customs operations and formalities in respect of goods declare in an electronic form.

At present, to e-declaration centers are functional in the North-West Customs Administration, the Baltic e-declaration center in the Baltic Customs and the St. Petersburg e-declaration center in the St. Petersburg Customs.
