The new LNG tanker built for Sovcomflot has been named “SCF La Perouse”. The vessel will operate on a long-term time charter agreement with Total.
The naming ceremony was attended by Sergey Frank, Chairman of the Sovcomflot Board, Peter Justesen, Vice President LNG Shipping of Total, Arnaud Le Foll, Total Country Chair Russia, and representatives of ING Bank, KfW IPEX-Bank, and Crédit Agricole.
“SCF La Perouse” is a new generation 174,000 cbm Atlanticmax LNG tanker equipped with a triple-fuel X-DF main engine.
Sovcomflot has two more similar gas carriers on its orderbook scheduled for delivery in H2 2020.
