Russia’s NW Ports Container Throughput Up in October

    According to SeaNews’ PortStat online analytic service, in October 2019 container traffic via the Russian North-Western sea ports grew by 3% year-on-year. Import increased by 5.4%. Export was slightly up by 0.7%.

    Big Port of St. Petersburg

    Container throughput via the Big Port of St. Petersburg increased by 1,9% year-on-year. Import was up 4%. Export remained much on the previous year’s level (-0.1%).

    Ust-Luga

    Container traffic via Ust-Luga in October 2019 grew by 44.8% year-on-year. Export surged by 60.2%, import was up 42.6%.

    Kaliningrad

    Container traffic via Kaliningrad increased by 4.7% year-on-year in October. Export grew by 4% and import by 5.5%.
