FESCO has launched a new block train connecting St. Petersburg with Novosibirsk in Siberia. The service is branded FESCO Baltic Siberia Shuttle.
The transit time from the Zanevsky Post station in St. Petersburg to the Novosibirsk-Vostochny station is four days. The planned service frequency is weekly.
Most of the cargo carried will be consumer goods, tobacco and food products, both imported and produced in Northwest Russia.
The first train arrived at Novosibirsk-Vostochny on November 26.
