At 9.04 a.m. an explosion occurred at the Grushovaya oil tank farm in Novorossiysk. According to the regional Emergency Ministry service, the first fire-fighting detachments arriving at the scene at 9.20 found that fire started in the underground oil product storage facility.
At 9.20 the emergency service was able to localize the fire on 200 square meters. 91 person and 33 technical units are involved in fighting the fire.
According to the Emergency Ministry, five people were traumatized.
The Grushovaya oil tank farm in part of the Sheskharis terminal complex operated by Chernomortransneft, a subsidiary of Transneft.
