In September 2019, container traffic via Russia’s Southern ports increased by 8.3% year-on-year. Export was up 12.5%, import up 7.7%. Cabotage dropped by 81.7% and transit by 73.9%.
Novorossiysk
Novorossiysk handled 98.2% of the entire Russian Southern ports’ container throughput in September. Compared to September 2018, the total volume increased by 9.7%. Export was up 13.3%, and import up 7.8%. Transit dropped by 73.9% year-on-year. Cabotage was non-existent in September.

Azov
Container traffic via Azov decreased by 15.5% year-on-year. Export was down 20.8%, and import down 10.2%.

Kavkaz
Container traffic via Port Kavkaz grew by 8.1% year-on-year in September. Import surged 4.6-fold, export was up 33.3%. Cabotage, on the contrary, declined by 43.2%.

Sevastopol
Cabotage container throughput via Sevastopol dropped by 84.3% year-on-year.

Astrakhan
The aggregate container throughput via Astrakhan and Olya decreased by 27.8%. Cabotage grew by 16.7%. Import was down 3.8% and export down 42.9%.
