Фрахтовый рынок Азовского и Каспийского моря. Неделя 44 2019

Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 44, 2019

  • In the Sea of Azov, the sea-river segment is sliding sideward. Freight rates remain unchanged, but the price for grains of Russian origin is constantly increasing, which in conjunction with cold weather in the region could move freight up to higher levels.

According to Rufco shipbrokers, freight rates to the Sea of Marmara make $23-24 pmt from Rostov and 22.5-23.5 pmt from Yeisk.

Freight rates to SE Black Sea ports are $21-22 pmt from Rostov and 20.5-21.5 pmt from Yeisk.

As mentioned previously, Black sea coasters have much in common with the Azov Sea trends during this autumn. This week has proven such similarity again.

In the Caspian, freight rates are rising again following the increased trade activity from all the ports in the region. Cargoes ex Aktau, Astrakhan, Volgograd and other river ports are heavily quoted over the market.

Cargoes from the Black Sea to the Caspian and vice versa are intensifying and are expected to rise levels right before the end of the navigation season.

Freight ex Astrakhan to Iran make $35-37 pmt this week.

Please note that the rates cited in this article are average market rates. We ask our readers to pay attention that this information is not a commercial offer and cannot be an example for comparison in commercial disputes and arbitration.
