According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total cargo throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-September 2019 amounted to 626.8 mn tons (+2.8%). Five terminals handled 194.5 mn tons or 31% of this volume.
All terminals included into the Top-5 handled crude oil and oil products.
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port is the leader of cargo throughput. Its cargo traffic decreased by 3.7% down to 56.5 mn tons.
Primorsk Commercial Port saw its cargo traffic grow by 17.9% up to 46.9 mn tons.
Cargo traffic via CPC-R (Novorossiysk) amounted to 46.5 mn tons, up 3.6% year-on-year.
Cargo throughput via Transneft Kozmino Port (Vostochny) increased by 8.8% up to 24.6 mn tons.
Neva Pipeline Company (Ust-Luga) handled 19.9 mn tons, down 0.5% year-on-year.

It should be noted that the stevedores which demonstrated the highest growth did not get into the Top-5. Streletskoe Stevedoring Company (Astrakhan) saw its cargo traffic surge 7.5-fold, Rostov Multimodal Sea Port was up 7-fold, K-Market Kozmino (Vostochny) was up 4.8-fold.
The largest decrease in cargo traffic was in Expeditor (Azov) (-98.5%), Yuzhny Sea Port (Azov) (-92.3%) and Arkhangelsk River Port (-88.9%).
