According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-August 2019 Russia exported 2.1 mn tons of unwrought aluminum, down 0.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export decreased by 6.5% down to some $3.6 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export remained on the last year’s level making 441.4 thousand tons worth $2.7 bn, down 8.2% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in January-August declined by 5.9% down to 85.1 thousand tons worth $1.1 bn, down 13.6% year-on-year.
In August, unwrought aluminum export made 291.6 thousand tons, down 31.1 year-on-year and 4.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export decreased by 38.8 year-on-year and by 8% month-on-month to make $468.9 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export in August was up 9.5% year-on-year and up 2-fold month-on-month to 67.1 thousand tons worth $385.2 mn (up 6.6% year-on-year and up 2-fold month-on-month).
Unwrought nickel export in August was down 87.8% year-on-year and down 86.8% month-on-month to 1.6 thousand tons. In terms of value, it dropped by 85.8% year-on-year and by 70.285.1 month-on-month down to $24.3 mn.
