Два танкера «Совкомфлота» на СПГ прошли Севморпуть

Sovcomflot’s Two LNG-Powered Tankers Complete NSR Voyage

  • Two large-tonnage oil tankers belonging to Sovcomflot’ “Mendeleev Prospect” and “Lomonosov Prospect” completed have transited the Northern Sea Route eastwards using LNG as fuel only.

    The “Lomonosov Prospect” left the NSR basin on October 16, and the “Mendeleev Prospect” completed the NSR transit three days later. The average speed on the Northern Sea Route was 12 knots for the “Lomonosov Prospect” and 12.3 knots for the “Mendeleev Prospect”.

    The both tankers are en route to China from Primorsk with a cargo of crude.
