According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-August Russia exported some 9.1 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 3.5% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew by 11.6% up to $1.9 bn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 6.8 mn tons, which is 9.7% below the result for January-August 2018. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export declined by 2.1% down to $2.1 bn.
Potash fertilizers export during the first eight months of 2019 increased by 7.5% up to more than 5.4 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew by 28.4% up to $1.4 bn.
In August, nitric fertilizers export was down 9.2% year-on-year and down 8.8% month-on-month making over 1.2 mn tons worth $253.8 mn (down 5.3% year-on-year and up 0.9% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export in August made 848.8 thousand tons, up 10.6% year-on-year and up 16.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 3.2% year-on-year and by 11.3% month-on-month up to $240.5 mn.
Potash fertilizers export in August surged by 85.1 year-on-year and declined by 18.9 7.9% month-on-month to make 680.2 thousand tons worth $179.4 mn, up 2-fold year-on-year and down 17.5% month-on-month.
