FESCO has launched a block train to carry China-manufactured cars from Chongqing to Russia via Mongolia.
The train is routed via the Erlian / Zamyn-Uud / Naushki border crossings arriving to the Vorotynsk station in Kaluga region. From there, cars are trucked to customers.
The first train consisting of fifty 40’ units laden with 150 cars came to the Vorotynsk station in Kaluga region on October 6. The transit time made 17 days, 2.5 times as short as shipping by sea via the Suez.
The service frequency will make two to four times a month depending on the demand. The planned monthly volume is 200-400 TEU.
