According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-July 2019 Russia exported some 7.9 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 5.8% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew by 14.8% up to $1.6 bn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to some 6 mn tons, which is 11.9% below the result for January-July 2018. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export declined by 5.1% down to $1.9 bn.
Potash fertilizers export during the first seven months of 2019 increased by 1.4% up to more than 4.8 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew by 21.8% up to $1.2 bn.
In July, nitric fertilizers export was up 73.5% year-on-year and up 3.7% month-on-month making 1.3 mn tons worth $251.4 mn (up 79.4% year-on-year and down 1.6% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export in July made 725.6 thousand tons, down 3.6% year-on-year and down 21.6% month-on-month. In terms of value, it declined by 0.6% year-on-year and by 28% month-on-month down to $216 mn.
Potash fertilizers export in July surged 30.1-fold year-on-year and by 7.9% month-on-month up to 839.3 thousand tons worth $217.5 mn, up 33.5-fold year-on-year and up 2.8% month-on-month.
