Фрахтовый рынок Азовского и Каспийского моря. Неделя 37 2019

Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 38, 2019

  • A slight increase in activity has been spotted in the market and main reason for that is the TMO wheat tender. Other commodities like corn, safflower and others also started to appear in the market.

However, according to Rufco shipbrokers, the market is still mainly in a depressed state. Bad weather is severely affecting navigation in Kerch Strait, and this has led to substantial congestion at Northern and Southern anchorage areas and a queue for transit.

Freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov lost $2 and make $19-20 pmt.

Freight rates from Rostov to SE Black Sea ports are also down making $17-18 pmt.

The coasters market in the Black sea continues sideward movement. There are cargoes appearing for the second half of September, but it will take time to ensure that they will really become firm and this is not just for budgeting purposes.

The Caspian region is definitely not a newsmaker this week, rates here continue declining slowly.

Freight ex Astrakhan to Iran make $24-26 pmt this week.

Please note that the rates cited in this article are average market rates. We ask our readers to pay attention that this information is not a commercial offer and cannot be an example for comparison in commercial disputes and arbitration.
