In July 2019, container traffic via Russia’s Southern ports increased by 7% year-on-year. Export was up 12.2% and import up 5.5%. Cabotage dropped by 73.3%, and transit by 54.1%.
Novorossiysk
Novorossiysk handled 98% of the entire Russia’s Southern ports’ container throughput in July. Compared to July 2018, the total volume grew by 7.4%. Export was up 11.7%, and import up 5.3%. Transit declined by 54.1%. Cabotage containers were non-existent.
Azov
Container traffic via Azov increased by 25.7% year-on-year. Export was up 42%, and import up 11.5%.
Kavkaz
Container traffic via Port Kavkaz increased by 14.9% year-on-year in July. Import decreased by 61.5%, and export was down 16.7%, while cabotage grew by 68.6%.
Sevastopol
Cabotage containers throughput via Sevastopol decreased by 67.4% year-on-year.
Astrakhan
The aggregate container throughput via Astrakhan and Olya increased by 63.8%. Export grew by 84.1%, import was up by 77.2%, and cabotage up by 6.9%.
