Mineral Fertilizers Export

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-April 2019 Russia exported some 4.4 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 1.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew by 12.5% up to $965.1 mn.

    Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 3.6 mn tons, which is 12.4% below the result for January-April 2018. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export declined by 3.3% down to $1.1 bn.

    Potash fertilizers export during the first four months of 2019 increased by 13.3% up to more than 2.3 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew even more significantly, by 38.5% up to $590 mn.

    In April, nitric fertilizers export was up 13.4% year-on-year, but down 13.9% month-on-month making over 1.1 mn tons worth $231.1 mn (up 17.4% year-on-year and down 20.9% month-on-month).

    Potash fertilizers export in April declined by 4.6% year-on-year and by 19.4% month-on-month down to 683.2 thousand tons worth $170.7 mn, up 11.9% year-on-year and down 21.2% month-on-month.

    Mixed fertilizers export in April exceeded 1 mn tons, up 36.5% year-on-year and up 34.6% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 46.9% year-on-year and by 37.3% month-on-month up to $341.5 mn.
