According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-February 2019 Russia’s export of vodka grew both in physical terms and value-wise.
It made 274.2 thousand decalitres scaled down to 100% spirit, up 19.3% year-on-year, physically, and $19.8 mn, up 30.3%, in terms of value.
In February, Russia exported 150.2 thousand decalitres, down 0.7% year-on-year, but up 21.3% year-on-year, worth $10.9 mn, up 9% year-on-year and 22.5% month-on-month.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import during January-February grew by 11.6% year-on-year up to $364.7 mn.
In February, it was up 14.6% year-on-year and 35.9% month-on-month to $209.4 mn.
Cigarettes and cigars import in January-February dropped by 25% down to $8.7 mn.
In February, it was down 28.6% year-on-year, but up 35.1% month-on-month making $5 mn.
