According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-February 2019 Russia exported 675.8 thousand tons of unwrought aluminum, up 5.7% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export declined 2.2% down to some $1.2 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was up 5% year-on-year to 131.8 thousand tons worth $797.7 mn, up 8.4% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export increased by 41.4% up to 26.3 thousand tons worth $312.6 mn, up 27% year-on-year.
In February, unwrought aluminum export made 403.5 thousand tons, up 19.2% year-on-year and 44.3% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export increased by 12.2% year-on-year and 46.9% month-on-month up to $741.1 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export in February was up 28.3% year-on-year and 98.6% month-on-month to 87.6 thousand tons worth $535.1 mn (up 12.9% year-on-year and 2.1-fold month-on-month).
Unwrought nickel export in February grew by 36.4% year-on-year and 24.8% month-on-month up to 14.6 thousand tons. In terms of value, it was up 22.3% year-on-year and 33.4% month-on-month to $176.9 mn.
