According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during the first two months of 2019 Russia exported 1.91 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 8.9% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew 22.6% up to some $441.8 mn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 1.68 mn tons, which is 0.9% above the result for January-February 2018. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export grew by 18.6% up to $520.1 mn.
Potash fertilizers export in January-February surged 49.4% up to more than 799.8 thousand tons. In terms of value, it grew even more significantly, by 89.5% up to $202.8 mn.
In February, nitric fertilizers export was up 16.9% year-on-year, but down 8.8% month-on-month making 909.2 thousand tons worth $211.4 mn (up 31.9% year-on-year and down 8.3% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export in February amounted to 875.9 thousand tons, down 2.1% year-on-year, but up 9.1% month-on-month. In terms of value, it was up 17.8% year-on-year and 14.2% month-on-month to $277.3 mn.
Potash fertilizers export in February grew 45.7% year-on-year and 13.9-fold month-on-month up to 746.1 thousand tons worth $189.4 mn, up 82.1% year-on-year and 14.2-fold month-on-month.
