Baltic and NW Europe Freight Market, Week 12, 2019

  • During weeks 12, freight rates for shipping cargo by Handysize bulkers in the Baltic and the NW European region declined quite significantly.

    According to Glogos Project brokers, freight rates for shipping wheat by Handysize bulkers from ARAG to East Med went down to $21 pmt, and to West Med were $16 pmt.

    Freight rates for wheat from the Baltic to North Spain amounted to $15 pmt.

    Freight rates for shipping scrap by 25,000 dwt Handysize bulkers from the Baltic to East Med declined to make $25 pmt. ARAG – East Med rates made $23 pmt.

    Freight rates for shipping coal by Handysize bulkers from the Baltic to North Spain for were $14 pmt, and those from the Baltic to East Med made $22 per ton.
