Coal Export Down

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service, in January 2019 Russia exported some 10.9 mn tons of coal, down 2.5% year-on-year.

    Compared to December 2018, coal export dropped 40.8%.

    In terms of value, coal export grew by 6.9% year-on-year up to $966.6 mn.

    Coke and coal char export during the first month of the year declined by 17.6% year-on-year and by 3.5% month-on-month down to 257.3 thousand tons.

    In terms of value it decreased by 22.6% down to $61.7 mn.
