Four tankers of Palmali LLC, part of Palmali group, have been sold in an auction.
According to Azeri Daily, “Riroil-2” and Riroil-3 were sold to the Nigerian company Deep Frontline Shippers. After the sale, they were renamed “Vedmata” and “Vishvamata”.
“Riroil-1” was sold to the Turkish Karadeniz Holding, and “Riroil-4” was acquired by the Greek Hellenic Environmental Centre.
The sale fetched $8 mn, while Palmali’s debt to the Russian Sberbank is reported to make $210 mn.
All the four tankers have a deadweight of 6.6 thuosand tons and were built between 2001 and 2003. Before 2004 «Riroil-1» was called «Kolguev», «Riroil-2» was «Inta», «Riroil-3» bore the name of «Pokachi» and «Riroil-4» was «Tambey».
