According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-November 2018 Russia exported 42.2 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 10.8% year-on-year.
In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew 27.5% up to $21.4 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export increased 10.7% up to over 14.4 mn tons. In terms of value, this commodity export was up 34.1% to some $7.2 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export declined 4.3% down to 7.6 mn tons. In terms of value, iron and unalloyed steel flat section export increased 11% up to $4.6 bn.
Cast iron export grew 23.7% up to 5 mn tons. In terms of value, cast iron export surged 35.6% up to some $1.9 bn.
Ferroalloys export was up 10.9% to 751.2 thousand tons worth $1.3 bn (+6.1%).
